Portfolio of Selected Projects
I have selected some sample projects from more than two decades of conservation and restoration work. Please click on the photos to the left to view photos and descriptions of various endeavors. I have returned many historic machines such as steam locomotives, steam traction engines, stationary steam engines and boilers, and mill machinery of all kinds to successful operation using my skills as boilermaker, millwright, machinist, and mechanic. I have performed "textbook" conservation treatments upon historically significant indistrial equipment such as railway cars, boats, scientific instruments, and even furniture. It is not possible to list all of the projects I have been involved with here.
